Türkiye demands pressure on Israel to solve Gaza crisis

Ankara, Jul 7 (Prensa Latina) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan today demanded the West, especially the United States, to put pressure on Israel to put an end to the crisis in the Gaza Strip, with a death toll of almost 38 thousand.

Israel must not in any way continue the killings and violence against Gaza. It is crucial that the international community, especially the Western nations, strengthen the pressure on Israel, Erdogan considered on his return from a trip to Germany, quoted by Anadolu.

Precisely, Israel tramples on human rights and international law and now threatens Lebanon, to spread the conflict in the whole region, the president considered, according to the above-mentioned agency.

The Western nations, especially the United States, must put an end at this stage to their aid to Tel Aviv, the Turkish leader demanded.

From the beginning, Türkiye has advocated a peaceful solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, based on a two-state solution on the 1967 borders. Such a condition would guarantee permanent peace, he said.
