Russia estimates at 14,600 Ukrainian casualties in Kursk

Moscow, Sep 18 (Prensa Latina) Ukraine lost more than 14,600 troops since the beginning of its incursion in the Kursk province, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported.

In total, during the hostilities on the Kursk line of operations, the enemy also lost 121 tanks, 50 infantry fighting vehicles, 92 armored vehicles and 758 armored combat vehicles,” the military body said in a statement published Wednesday on its official Telegram page.

Russian troops also destroyed 457 cars, 107 artillery pieces, 28 multiple rocket launcher systems, including seven Himars and six MLRS, eight anti-aircraft missile launchers, 26 electronic warfare stations, seven counter-battery radars, and two air defense radars.

In the past 24 hours, the Russian military eliminated more than 400 Ukrainian fighters, 23 armored vehicles, including two tanks, one of them Leopard, five infantry fighting vehicles, including two Swedish-made CV-90s, and 15 armored fighting vehicles.

The Russian military also captured eight Ukrainian troops. The operation to destroy Ukrainian Armed Forces formations is continuing, the note said.
