Ethiopia and China seek to improve foreign direct investment flows

Addis Ababa, Sep 20 (Prensa Latina) Representatives of the Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, China, held a dialogue on improving foreign direct investment flows from the Asian country to here for mutual benefit.

As revealed by the EIC on its social network account X, the local side highlighted Addis Ababa’s investment potential in various sectors and investment policies.

They further stated that the African nation is now considered a preferred destination for Chinese investors and in this regard, the Commission is committed to work closely with the visiting business entity to promote the sector.

The Chinese delegation led by the director of the Foreign Trade and Economic Division, Zhuang Jianrong, understanding Ethiopia’s untapped investment potential, expressed interest in participating in agricultural technology and other Ethiopian business lines.
