World leaders and parties will meet in the capital of Azerbaijan on Monday for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change focused on crucial climate agreements.
The statement added that the organizing committee announced that for 12 days the delegations attending COP29 will work to achieve inclusive and sustainable results and leave no one behind.
COP29 will try to push forward agreements between countries to limit global temperature rise to less than 1.5 degrees and promote sustainable societies and economies.
The central event of the conference will be the World Summit for Climate Action, scheduled for November 12th and 13th.
