Caracas, Nov 11 (Prensa Latina) The Venezuelan Petroleum Company (PDVSA) reported today a fire engulfing the 26-inch gas pipeline in the state of Monagas (northeast), which left five workers injured and appears to be a sabotage against the national hydrocarbon industry.

A statement from PDVSA indicates that the victims of the blast are currently being treated at health centers, where specialized medical attention and all the required support are being provided.

The statement adds that fire started on Monday morning in the Muscar-Soto gas pipeline of the Muscar Operational Complex, belonging to the Punta de Mata Division, Ezequiel Zamora municipality, in the aforementioned territory.
