The film was directed by Eva Hache in her debut, written by Jelen Morale and released in Spanish theaters in January 2024, by Warner Bros. Pictures Spain.

It tells the story of Sonia (Ana Polvorosa), a responsible, orderly woman with a highly integrated sense of the norm who finally manages to live by herself with her cat in Madrid’s downtown.

However, on a single night and the eve of an important exam that could provide her with a steady job, she will be forced to do everything she has not dared to do in 36 years of life.

Imbued in the traditional Spanish humor, “A Bad Hair Day” starts just when the protagonist, who believes she has achieved her independence, meets an old friend in trouble.

According to critics, it is fascinating how the filmmaker makes an authentic exercise of pure adrenaline, whose tension is constantly increasing.
