One of the spokespersons of these groups, the coordinator of the National Front for the Defense of Economic and Social Rights (Frenadeso), Jorge Guzmán, explained to Prensa Latina that it will be a peaceful march to also demand the withdrawal of the initiative presented by the Government, for being detrimental to workers and their families.
In the citizen consultations that for weeks have been carried out by the deputies of the Health and Labor Commission in the capital and now deployed in the interior of the country, the organizations consider that the norm moves away from their main requirements, such as the solidarity system for the payment of decent pensions, since it opts for individual accounts, which underpins the interest of the businessmen to privatize the entity.
On the other hand, the general secretary of the Union of Workers of the Construction and Similar Industries (Suntracs), Saúl Méndez, emphasized that the regulation promoted by the Executive can only be defeated in the streets by the people, who are in charge and have the last word.
