In a statement, the organization said the goal is to realize the expansionist project announced by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, known for his support of Jewish settlers.
The authorities of that country aim to “perpetuate the occupation and impose new facts on the ground in flagrant violation of international law,” he stressed.
In this regard, he warned that such a strategy represents a direct challenge to the claims of the world and an attack on the inalienable and legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
He also called for imposing sanctions on Israeli leaders and forcing them to comply with UN Security Council resolutions on the issue.
Recently, the head of the Wall and Settlements Resistance Commission, Muayyad Shaaban, revealed that Israel confiscated 5,200 hectares of land in the West Bank from the start of the new cycle of violence, in October 2023, until the end of November.
According to its data, in the first half of 2024 alone, troops and inhabitants of Jewish settlements committed 7,681 violations in the West Bank.
The Central Bureau of Statistics revealed last March that Israel confiscated 50,526 dunams of Palestinian land (just over 5,000 hectares) in 2023, almost double the figure of the previous year.
