At the beginning of the dialogue with his Iranian counterpart, the Russian head of State detailed that in the first 10 months of last year, the bilateral exchange increased by 15,5%, which he called a good indicator.
In this regard, he argued that Moscow and Tehran continue to carry out joint projects, among other areas in nuclear energy.
“Your visit today has a special meaning. Because we will have the opportunity to discuss all areas of our cooperation and sign a great basic treaty between Russia and Iran on comprehensive strategic partnership,” Putin said.
The Iranian leader said the agreement will become “a solid basis for moving forward” and “will give a great impetus to the development of bilateral relations.”
Pezeshkian also stressed the importance of developing relations with Russia, while condemning the presence of extra-regional forces in the Middle East.
