During separate phone calls, Abdelatty stressed the importance of immediately implementing the pact reached this week, while emphasizing the need to abide by its terms, the Foreign Ministry release underlines.
The Egyptian diplomat highlighted Egypt’s efforts, in coordination with Qatar and the United States, to reach the compromise.
He also underlined the key role of the international community in the reconstruction of Gaza.
This week, Abdelatty contacted several of his counterparts by telephone to discuss the crisis in Gaza, including the British, David Lammy, and American, Antony Blinken.
He also spoke with the UN humanitarian coordinator for Gaza, Sigrid Kaag, with whom he discussed the unimpeded entry of aid into the territory to alleviate the situation.
