The United Hearts Movement (MCU), the ruling party led by Central African President Faustin-Archangel Touadera, and United Russia, the political party led by Russian President Vladimir Putin, signed this agreement following Touadera’s recent visit to Moscow to expand partnership relations between the two countries.
The document was signed on Monday from Moscow by United Russia senator Andrey Klimov, and in this capital by Simplice Mathieu Sarandji, President of CAR’s National Assembly and MCU’s Executive Secretary.
The Russian Embassy in Bangui stressed that this agreement is another step towards new horizons of cooperation aimed at deepening relations between the two parties through joint projects and legislative exchanges.
During the CAR president’s recent visit to Russia, the implementation of interstate agreements was reviewed with a growth trend, as trade turnover has increased almost eightfold over the last year.
