On behalf of his government, Pakistan’s new Foreign Ministry spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan also urged the international community to develop a concrete plan for the reconstruction of Gaza under United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions.
Ali Khan also underscored that the world should analyze the recent Israeli raids into the Jenin refugee camp.
The Pakistani spokesperson noted that accountability for Israeli crimes committed in what he called a brutal war was also necessary as an essential element in restoring international legitimacy.
The Foreign Ministry spokesperson reaffirmed that Pakistan welcomes the establishment of a ceasefire in Gaza and the subsequent release of hostages and Palestinian prisoners after mediation efforts by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States.
