“Stopping financial aid and projects for Ukraine is a very eloquent transmission of Trump’s opinion that Zelensky is going in the wrong direction,” the parliamentarian wrote on his Telegram channel.
The lawmaker argued that this move is one of the “peace enforcement” tactics in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, implemented by the administration of the new US President Donald Trump.
“The conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which will certainly take place soon, when the Kremlin and Washington teams agree on their positions, will be the second signal,” Dubinsky assured.
Kirill Budanov, chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, in turn, added that if negotiations on ending the conflict with Russia do not begin until next summer, “Ukraine would face an existential threat.”
