Ali, who is part of the high-level delegation accompanying President Prabowo Subianto to India, held bilateral talks with his counterpart, Dinesh K. Tripathi, to deepen maritime cooperation and strengthen ties between the two neighboring countries, the Defense Ministry informed.
The meeting focused on advancing joint initiatives such as the Samudra Shakti Exercise, strengthening operational collaboration, and addressing common maritime challenges, including piracy and other illegal activities at sea.
The military institution announced that the visit will include engagements at key maritime facilities such as the Information Fusion Center-Indian Ocean Region (IFC-IOR).
Admiral Muhammad Ali also visited the BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited (BAPL) and exchanged insights on strengthening bilateral defense and strategic cooperation.
Local media reported that India and Indonesia are close to inking a 450-million-dollar deal on the supply of BrahMos cruise missiles following consultations between military officials of the two countries.
