Organizers said more than 600 delegates from 98 countries and 400 Cubans are attending the event, which was opened at the Havana-based Conference Center on Tuesday. These figures consolidate the forum as one of the largest and most representative of its kind worldwide.
Wednesday’s program includes the Youth Forum: “With All and for the Good of All”, and the International Marti Chair Meeting.
The United Nations Associations (UNA) Forum will also defend multilateralism and the purposes and principles enshrined in the UN Charter.
The World Congress of Poets for Peace in Defense of Life and the 3rd International Colloquium of Cuban Historians will be in session at the Conference.
The event, which will last until Friday, January 31, aims to be a meeting for dialogue among civilizations and the culture of peace.
