The Uruguayan government signed agreements for 11,461,606 dollars to rehabilitate sections of routes six and 44 in the departments of Tacuarembó and Rivera.
The agreements were signed in the presence of Foreign Affairs Minister Omar Paganini and Transport and Public Work Minister, José Falero.
Both projects were approved last December during the 65th summit of presidents of the members of Mercosur and associated States, which took place in the capital.
A statement from the Foreign Ministry expresses: “The signing of these instruments demonstrates the strategic importance of FOCEM for Uruguay as a mechanism that contributes to strengthening the integration process” and to “reducing structural asymmetries” between the members of the bloc”.
