“It is planned to examine the results of the implementation of measures by the member states of the EAEU on the development of railway, road, and port infrastructure included in the Eurasian transport corridors, as well as discuss several issues,” said a statement from the press service of the organization.
The EAEU explained that during this Thursday’s closed-door meeting, the prime ministers of the alliance countries will sign an agreement on cross-border admission, placement and circulation of securities in organized trade in the member territories and will study the macroeconomic situation in the five nations of the Union.
Representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia, full members of the bloc, are attending the meeting, which will run until January 31. Uzbekistan, Moldova, and Cuba are also participating as observer states.
The Intergovernmental Council of the Eurasian Economic Union is formed by the heads of government of the member states.
