The Victims Unit reported that 523 tons were delivered and 160 more will be available soon.
Most of the aid, 161 tons, went to those who remain in the city of Cucuta, departmental capital of Norte de Santander, where more than 22,000 people have arrived seeking refuge.
Ocaña municipality received 117 tons of humanitarian aid for more than 10,200 displaced people, while 84 tons were sent to Tibu.
Other humanitarian deliveries are expected to arrive in the coming hours to the municipalities of El Tarra (65 tons), Abrego (12), Convencion (nine), Hacari (three), San Calixto (17), Sardinata (nine tons) and Teorama (45).
A team of psychologists and social workers has also been created to provide support to those affected as part of the assistance provided to those who abandoned their homes.
This strategy is expected to assist more than 800 people who remain in temporary shelters in Ocaña.
The inhabitants of Catatef/umbo have been suffering an escalation of violence for the last two weeks due to the fighting that the National Liberation Army (ELN) guerrillas have been waging against the 33rd Front, a residual structure of the extinct Revolutionary Armed Forces-People’s Army (Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias-Ejercito del Pueblo).
