Bolivia reaffirms solidarity with Palestine at The Hague

La Paz, Feb 2 (Prensa Latina) Bolivia reaffirms today its solidarity with Palestine by joining the Hague Group that expresses support for the arrest warrants of those guilty of genocide against Palestinian be fulfilled.

“We announce to the Bolivian people that since this Friday we are part of the Hague Group, along with eight other brotherly countries, where we reaffirm the continuity of the commitment we assume with international law and justice, in addition to the coordination of joint legal measures,” President Luis Arce wrote on social media.

Representatives of Bolivia, Cuba, Colombia, Belize, Honduras, Malaysia, Namibia, Senegal and South Africa announced the creation of The Hague Group, with the commitment to support the arrest warrant issued against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for alleged war crimes in Gaza.

Among these commitments Bolivia supports the demands of the International Criminal Court (ICC) -the dignitary added-, so that the arrest warrants for those responsible for the genocide against the Palestinian people are fulfilled.

Arce further said that this group will also take measures aimed at stopping the Israeli occupation of the State of Palestine.

The initiative to form this group arises in a context of growing international tensions and calls to the ICC to investigate and punish possible war crimes, increased with the character of genocide since October 2023 against the Palestinian people.
