“We have a deep sense of camaraderie with these countries and this will continue,” said the head of the Caribbean State at the 12th Extraordinary Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP), which is taking place by video conference in Caracas.
Philip Jean Pierre also referred to changes in the global power network, security, migration, deportation and tariff policies as common challenges for the countries that make up the regional bloc.
“I want to align myself with the contributions made by colleagues and tell them that Saint Lucia strongly supports coordination and cooperation so that, collectively, we can face these problems,” the prime minister stated. He added that as a member of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), his country would continue to work to confront the problems of the organization and improve the quality of life of the peoples that comprise it.
