At the review meeting of the National Institute of Water Resources, the head of Government instructed the institution to create mechanisms that respond to its problems, resulting from the coherent organization of the 2025 work plan.
Marrero mentioned the example of entities such as Ciegoplast and the so-called Empresa de Servicios Ingenieros Trasvases, which have taken actions aligned with the Government’s program to correct distortions and re-boost the economy.
He stressed that the work of the hydraulic workers in the complex situation that Cuba is going through speaks of their commitment to the country and the potential that can still be better exploited.
During the meeting, held on Monday, it was learned that in 2024, an average of 1,287.6 millimeters of rainfall was recorded, which is 97 percent of the historic average, although drought conditions persist in more than 80 municipalities in the country.
On Monday, prime minister also chaired the assessment of the work done by the Institute of Information and Social Communication, at which he stressed the leading role of the organization in the management of processes such as the government’s strategy to relaunch the economy.
“A leader has to be a good communicator, to be able to convey the essences to others, and also listen, get feedback,” emphasized Marrero, who noted that the culture of communication must expand to all sectors of society, so it is essential to prepare the population in these issues.
