German Government asks to account for aid to Ukraine

Berlin, Feb 4 (Prensa Latina) Sevim Dagdelen, member of the German parliament for the Sahra Wagenknecht's Alliance for Reason and Justice (SSV) party, said on Tuesday the German government should account for the aid given to Ukraine before the elections.

Let’s think that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski cannot say where billions of German taxpayers’ dollars have gone. The German government must give an explanation and submit a report urgently before February 23, Dagdelen wrote in a post on X.

Dagdelen responded to Zelenski’s remarks, who said he did not know where the 200 billion dollars allocated by Washington for military aid to Kiev had gone.

According to him, Ukraine received only 75 billion dollars from the United States.

US President Donald Trump declared on January 21 that Washington had spent 200 billion dollars on military aid to Ukraine.

Germany is the second largest supplier of weapons to Ukraine after the United States and has pledged to spend about 28 billion euros in the future.
