Recovered from surgery, Lula resumes travel agenda in Brazil

Brasilia, Feb 6 (Prensa Latina) President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva resumes today his travel agenda in Brazil after spending some time in this capital recovering from head surgeries.

As reported by the Planalto Palace, seat of the Executive Power, Lula participates this Thursday in Rio de Janeiro, in the reopening of the emergency room of the Federal Hospital of Bonsucesso.

The service is part of the urgency and emergency network of the capital and the state of Rio, serving users in serious condition or requiring specialized care.

Closed since 2020, the new emergency room has 50 beds in two areas, adult and pediatric, divided by complexity: red, yellow and green room.

This service is managed by the Central de Regulação do Sistema Unico de Saude.

The ceremony also marks the resumption of the hospital’s full capacity, which went from 412 to 423 beds available to the population.

Another novelty is the reactivation of the Diagnostic Imaging Center, with the availability of ultrasound examinations and new high-precision X-ray equipment.

Tomorrow, Lula is scheduled to go to Paramirim municipality, in the interior of the state of Bahia (northeast).

With a delegation of ministers and the governor Jerônimo Rodrigues, the president will present the program called Water for All-Bahia, which brings the liquid to the region, 650 kilometers from Salvador, the state capital.

The governor also has plans for next week.

Lula should also resume his international travel routine.

The first commitment will be in Uruguay, to participate in the inauguration of President Yamandu Orsi on March 1.

In that month, he has confirmed visits to Japan and Vietnam, and may participate in the Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac), in Honduras.
