According to the specialist’s post on the Telegram social network on Friday, the Russian army took control of most of Chasov Yar in the Donetsk People’s Republic, including important facilities such as the State Avangard and Municipal Hospital number three.

Marochko noted that the assault units secured high-rise buildings and also completely liberated three residential areas. Russian troops also occupied most of the northern sector, which allowed them to take advantageous positions for future actions, he said.

In addition, in the south of Chasov Yar, Russian units occupied several sections of road. This includes the crossings over the Gruzskaya River that were previously used by Ukrainian troops.

According to Marochko, advanced units of the Russian Armed Forces began working in the Shevchenko microdistrict.

The expert also reported that Russian troops eliminated an encircled group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Chasov Yar, after which the Ukrainians began a mass evacuation of wounded soldiers from the settlement.
