In a preview of Trump’s interview with Fox News that will be broadcast before the Super Bowl, the president defended the work of the technological magnate and richest man in the world at the head of the newly created Department of Government Efficiency.
The American people “want me to find” waste and as now my right-hand man Musk is going to “find billions, hundreds of billions of dollars of fraud and abuse. They know that the people elected me for that.”
Regarding the American football final in which he will participate in New Orleans, Trump predicted that the victory will go to the Kansas City Chiefs over the Philadelphia Eagles.
He also praised the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes as a “great quarterback” and called his wife, Brittany Mahomes, “phenomenal.”
“She’s a Trump fan, she’s a MAGA fan, so I happen to love her,” he said.
The president also gave a shout-out to the Philadelphia Eagles, who are also “fantastic” and predicted “a great game” on Sunday.
Trump traveled from Florida to New Orleans for the Super Bowl with several guests aboard Air Force One, including part of his family and some Republican members of the House of Representatives and the Senate.
The White House said that before the game, Trump will meet with relatives of the victims of the New Year’s attack on Bourbon Street, members of the New Orleans Police Department and first responders.
It will be the first time that a sitting president attends the popular event, which attracts thousands of people from all over the country, and his presence alone prompted an unprecedented security operation that includes police patrols, tactical units and surveillance cameras multiplied in various points of the city, which has hosted the Super Bowl on 10 other occasions.
The National Football League (NFL) game will take place at the Caesars Superdome, a stadium that was rebuilt after the devastating passage of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Incidentally, image hunters are fighting -according to publications about celebrities- for a location that allows them to see not only Trump but also pop star Taylor Swift, who will also be there.
As for the halftime show, Kendrick Lamar is the chosen one. Along with singer SZA, the rapper said that he will try to review his artistic career. Lamar won five awards at the recent 67th edition of the Grammy Awards with his song ‘Not Like Us’.
