The Electronic Government and Information and Knowledge Society Agency (Agesic) begins today the ‘forensic analysis’ of the hacking, which was alerted by the cybersecurity company Birmingham Cyber Arms in its X account.
An image showed, in the cyber attackers’ broadcast, that the data subtracted corresponded to 574 600 records, including 404 568 emails and 87 238 phone numbers.
The executive director of Agesic, Hebert Paguas, confirmed to the newspaper that the agency was able to detect a leak in the database of the citizen service, known as Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
He said that it is not yet possible to confirm the dimensions of the flow of information extracted, although he confirmed that it involves telephones and e-mails.
Paguas emphasized that the attacked database ‘is working’, but for the moment the space where the data is stored and processed, known as ‘backend’, has been downloaded from the Internet.
