Cuba begins anti-imperialist neighborhood debates

Havana, Feb 18 (Prensa Latina) Anti-imperialist and patriotic neighborhood debates begin on Tuesday nationwide, led by the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), the largest mass organization in Cuba.

More than 1,400 debates will be held until July.

Radio Reloj station informed that the meetings will denounce the blockade the United States government has maintained against the island for more than 60 years, which is now being tightened by President Donald Trump as part of the economic war.

Officials from the Foreign Ministry (MINREX), legal experts, and economists will be among the speakers at the debates.

The CDRs bring together the majority of the population aged 14 and older, who are willing to work for the well being of the community.

Since their founding, the CDRs have fought crime, illegalities, corruption, drugs, and social indiscipline.
