A Foreign Ministry statement stressed that the country will “consistently adhere to the new policy of nuclear force buildup” and “thoroughly deter the U.S. and its vassal forces” from threats and blackmail.”
It noted that to achieve that goal it will make use of all political and military tools at its disposal. The Foreign Ministry’s note came in response to a statement issued at the international security conference held recently in Munich, Germany, in which the U.S., South Korea and Japan reaffirmed their intention to achieve complete denuclearization of the DPRK.
Pyongyang considered that the forged plans in this regard have become “impossible and impracticable, both conceptually and practically”, considering the current situation on the Korean Peninsula.
The statement stressed that the US has not yete awakened from its old failed dream of denuclearization. “It is not worth” even considering countering Washington’s stance of escaping from reality. The statement rejected any action in that regard “in the most resolute tone.”
