Hugo Chavez, the People’s Candidate, at Havana’s Book Fair

Havana, Feb 18 (Prensa Latina) The Havana International Book Fair will witness the presentation of the text "Hugo Chávez, the People's Candidate", a selection of speeches made by the Venezuelan leader in closing acts of electoral campaigns.

The Hugo Chávez Frías Institute will be in charge of this special moment that will be moderated by Adán Chávez (Venezuela) and Germán Sánchez Otero (Cuba). During previous meetings, such as the Caracas Book Fair, the leader’s brother has highlighted the importance of this book as a tool to understand the thought and political action of Hugo Chávez.

This book is a tribute to the man who devoted his life to the struggle for social justice and the dignity of the Venezuelan people, he affirmed.

Adán Chávez has referred that the title of the book reflects the different moments and campaigns of Comandante Chávez. He also stressed on the the importance of acknowledging the work of the team that compiled and analyzed his speeches.

The presentation will take place at the Hugo Chávez Hall, one of the main halls of the San Carlos de La Cabaña Fortress during the Havana Book Fair.
