In the hands of the Attorney General’s Office (PGR, Prosecutor’s Office) is the Federal Police (FP) report accusing Bolsonaro and 39 other people of attempted coup in 2022 to try to prevent the inauguration of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

If the Prosecutor’s Office finally decides to file a formal complaint before the Supreme Court, this court and specifically the judge rapporteur Alexandre de Moraes will determine whether to accept the file and would initiate the judicial process.

In view of this possibility, Barroso specified that his ‘vision of law in general is not a politicized vision, it is a vision based on integrity, on what is right, fair and legitimate.

“That is what I believe the court should do,” he remarked.
