The event will conclude with the adoption of the “Jaipur Declaration” which will remain in force until 2034, to enable a transition to a circular and resource-efficient economy in Asia-Pacific countries, Union Minister of Power, Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal, told reporters.
More than 500 participants from 38 countries are expected to attend the three-day conference, which will feature a pavilion showcasing national initiatives on circular economy and the so-called 3R (reduce, reuse, and recycle) to help the environment, Lal said.
The minister also informed that the delegates will have the opportunity to take technical tours of solid and liquid waste management facilities and visit key heritage sites in Jaipur, the venue of the meeting.
The Forum will host an international 3R Trade and Technology Exhibition to provide a platform for more than 40 Indian and Japanese companies to showcase best practices, ideas, and related solutions.
