The spokesman thus responded to a question from the press, about the information in the Western media about the alleged meeting planned in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this Tuesday, February 25.

Peskov redirected the question to the Russian Foreign Ministry, as the upcoming meetings between the two countries will be on the line of the Foreign Ministries, so he recommended contacting that agency.

According to the spokesman, these talks will discuss measures to normalize the dialogue. He also specified that, in the first place, measures to normalize the work of diplomatic agencies on a reciprocal basis “will be discussed in those same talks at expert level”.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Riabkov noted that negotiations between Russia and the United States on points of friction in bilateral relations will be held at the end of this week.

In his opinion, the meeting will be held at the level of heads of departments of foreign ministries.
