Russia: more than 900 Ukrainian casualties in the last day

Moscow, Feb 25 (Prensa Latina) The Ukrainian troops lost in the last day more than 900 troops in the clashes with the Russian forces, according to Moscow's Ministry of Defense.

The highest number of Ukrainian casualties was recorded on the line of operations of the Center group of forces, where the Ukrainian army lost up to 305 soldiers, seven armored combat vehicles and three pieces of heavy artillery, the military statement reports.

In addition to these casualties, there were 190 in the area of responsibility of the Western group, more than 150 in the Eastern group, up to 140 in the Southern group, 85 on the line of operations of the Dnieper group and up to 35 on the northern flank, according to the ministry.

The Russian military sprayed a large amount of military equipment, several of them manufactured in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) countries.

According to the report, Russia’s Aerospace Force and artillery bombed air bases, sites for drone assembly and storage, and fuel depots.

Russian anti-aircraft defense intercepted five U.S. JDAM guided bombs, 23 shells of the Czech Vampire rocket launcher and 97 fixed-wing drones.

In total, since the beginning of the Russian special military operation in February 2022, Ukraine has lost 656 warplanes, 283 helicopters, 44,431 unmanned aerial vehicles, 596 missile launchers, and 21,734 tanks and other armored vehicles.

Also annihilated were 1,521 multiple rocket launchers, 22,717 artillery pieces and mortars, and 32,99 special military vehicles.
