A statement from his office noted that the president discussed the issue with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who defended those proposals.
During the phone call, they addressed the situation in the Middle East and highlighted Cairo’s efforts to implement the agreement reached between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
The Egyptian presidency also stressed the need to provide sufficient humanitarian aid to Gaza to alleviate the humanitarian crisis there.
El-Sisi and Meloni urged the international community to fulfill its responsibility to protect the Palestinian people and support their rights, especially the establishment of a national state.
El-Sisi reiterated, in the last few weeks, his rejection of displacing Gazans and insisted on maintaining the ceasefire and the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Egipto rechaza desplazamiento en Gaza y defiende su reconstrucción
El Cairo, 28 feb (Prensa Latina) El presidente egipcio, Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, reclamó la reconstrucción de Gaza y una mayor entrada de ayuda a ese territorio al tiempo que rechazó cualquier plan para desplazar a los palestinos, anunció hoy un comunicado oficial.
Una declaración de su oficina precisó que el mandatario dialogó sobre el tema con la primera ministra italiana, Giorgia Meloni, quien también defendió esas propuestas.
Durante una llamada telefónica, ambas partes abordaron la situación en Oriente Medio y destacaron los esfuerzos de El Cairo para implementar el acuerdo alcanzado entre Israel y el Movimiento de Resistencia Islámica.
La presidencia egipcia también enfatizó la necesidad de brindar suficiente ayuda humanitaria a Gaza para aliviar la crisis humanitaria allí.
Los dos dignatarios instaron a la comunidad internacional a cumplir con sus responsabilidades para proteger al pueblo palestino y apoyar sus derechos, en especial el establecimiento de un Estado nacional.
En las últimas semanas, El-Sisi reiteró su rechazo al desplazamiento de la población de la Franja e insistió en el mantenimiento de la tregua y en la creación de un Estado palestino.
