Local sources quoted by the media here informed that a cargo plane carrying logistical, medical, and military materials landed at the Al-Shaddadi base, south of Hasakeh province, some 700 kilometers northeast of Damascus.

On February 22, a plane carrying weapons, ammunition, logistical, and medical supplies arrived at the US base in Qasrak, north of Hasakeh.

Meanwhile, on February 8, a 63-truck military convoy laden with advanced weapons arrived northeast of Hasakeh from northern Iraq through the illegal Al-Walid border crossing.

Washington has some 14 bases in Syria, mostly in the oil and gas fields, and justifies its presence with the fight against the Islamic State terrorist group, Daesh in Arabic.
