The auction took place at the Pabexpo fairgrounds in Havana during the Gala Dinner that closes the Festival, which was attended by Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel and Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, the Agencia Cubana de Noticias (ACN) reported.
Considered one of the most important moments of each Festival, the deal was organized by the Habanos S.A. Corporation. It is a show of generosity and humanity of those in love with the best tobacco in the world, the Habano.
The seven humidors auctioned represented each of the global brands of the Habanos S.A. joint venture company, Cohiba, Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta, Partagás, Hoyo de Monterrey and H. Upmann, and particularly the one commemorating the 15th anniversary of the Behike Line, the most prestigious in the world, sold at a price of 4,6 million euros.
Each humidor in the bidding is a unique piece created with the utmost dedication by the best craftsmen and designed to hold Habanos S.A.’s most emblematic vitolas.
