The third edition of the event, which will coincide with the celebration of International Women’s Day in the Caribbean island, will feature a wide-ranging program of concerts and theoretical sessions, according to its organizers.
Artists Mayvic Delgado, Cintia Lopez, Camila Pardo, Eme Alfonso, Rochy Ameneiro, as well as renowned researchers related to women’s entrepreneurship and local industries are expected to participate in the event.
Women by Eyeife will include presentations by exponents of electronic music in Cuba, such as Madame Butterfly, Frehela, Thalai and DJ Katia Crown from Mexico.
Artists Camila Guevara, daughter of Suylen Milanés, one of the founders of the festival, as well as Melanie Santiler, tres players Enid Rosales, Yarima Blanco and Jany Quiñones, and from the Música Es Mujer project, the vocal group Chiksoul.
Other guests include the music and dance group Fanm-Zetwal, with a unique show, full of strength, passion and Afro-Haitian traditions, as well as the women of the Afropium project, according to the organizers at a recent press conference.
There will be workshops addressing gender issues, and both national and international campaigns and projects against violence toward women will be highlighted.
