According to Orban, at the next summit, his delegation will not say anything more than what it has said so far: Ukraine’s membership in the community is unrealistic.
Orban is sure that Ukraine’s membership will cause serious damage not only to agriculture, but to the entire European economy. He also recalled that Kyiv has still not returned the rights to the Hungarian minority in Transcarpathia and has not stopped threatening Hungary’s energy security.
However, the Prime Minister noted that he would not rule out accepting Ukraine into the EU at some point in the future if it meets all the criteria that the bloc requires of candidates for membership.
