We want to give him the warmest welcome on behalf of Co-presidents Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo and thank President Aleksandr Lukashenko for giving high attention and my priority to this relationship of brotherhood between Nicaragua and Belarus, Ortega said.
He added that they would work to expand and strengthen cooperation, review ongoing projects, as well as discuss new programs that will benefit the Nicaraguan people and bring Belarusians closer with a greater participation of companies from the European country.
I have several main purposes in my visit. First, I want to deliver copies of my credentials and, on the other hand, to take part in several meetings and conversations to review the status of our current projects and, if possible, determine new directions of cooperation, the Belarusian diplomat noted.
He pointed out that this visit will give a new impetus to bilateral cooperation and will lay the foundations to prepare the agenda of a joint intergovernmental commission between Belarus and Nicaragua, which will be held this year in Managua.
