Türkiye’s Deputy Foreign Minister Nuh Yilmaz and his British counterpart Hamish Falconer met in Ankara today for this purpose.
During the consultations, the Turkish side is expected to present its opinions and expectations regarding security, stability, the economic situation and the need to completely lift sanctions imposed on Syria without preconditions, the source said.
The diplomats will also analyze the situation surrounding the efforts of the new Syrian administration towards national reconciliation and the importance of support for these steps by the international community.
In addition, Yilmaz and Falconer will discuss Israel’s actions in Syria.
The focus is expected to be on the need to stop Israel’s actions, which openly violate and threaten Syria’s sovereignty, the source said.
