To this end, Minh Chinh chaired a joint meeting of the Government Standing Committee and the Communist Party Committee in Kien Giang province; as well as relevant ministries and branches.

Addressing the meeting, the Vietnamese premier highlighted the efforts of the parties involved in preparation for the important event.

The Head of Government instructed that the implementation of projects must ensure the combination of services for APEC 2027 with the development of Phu Quoc, in accordance with the approved guidelines and planning.

He pointed out that, along with the exploitation of existing infrastructure, it is necessary to give priority in the immediate future to the deployment of plans directly related to the event.

Minh Chinh pointed out that investment in infrastructure projects must have long-term vision, deep thinking and great action; while calling for fighting negativity, corruption and waste during the process.

The Prime Minister instructed to establish specific mechanisms and policies for the rapid and effective implementation of key infrastructure projects, with a view to providing timely services to APEC 2027 and boosting Phu Quoc’s sustainable development.
