On Wednesday, the Parliament president also met with the head of the House of Representatives of Zanzibar, Zubeir Ali Maulid, with whom he discussed how to strengthen interparliamentary ties.
After arriving in the African nation on Tuesday, Lazo exchanged views with Cuban collaborators in that country and inquired about the result of their work, “as a sign of Cuba’s humanistic and supportive vocation.” Zanzibar is a semi-autonomous region of Tanzania, made up of two islands, Unguja and Pemba.
