The International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank (WB), the African Development Bank (ADB), and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) are among the actors to whom Prime Minister Judith Suminwa Tuluka has turned to coordinate efforts to reach vulnerable communities.
The head of Government met with ICRC’s Regional Director for Africa Patrick Youssef, with whom she addressed the establishment of a humanitarian corridor to facilitate aid delivery to areas occupied by the March 23 Movement (M23).
Suminwa Tuluka appreciated the institution’s support for the victims, to whom it has distributed medicines and food, and assisted separated families.
She ratified the commitment to enhancing cooperation to respond to displaced people’s urgent needs, while the ICRC representative welcomed the support of the government, which facilitates its efforts to help the populations affected by the conflict.
