Just a few hours ago, the conservative Popular Party (PP) used AI to launch a video with the retouched figures of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, his wife Begoña Gómez, the speaker of the Congress, Francina Armengol, several ministers and other figures, all in a so-called “Island of Corruption”.
However, the explicit placement of the national flag of the Dominican Republic, provoked an angry protest from the Caribbean country, which resulted in the withdrawal of the audiovisual, without apology from the PP.
The Trump (Donald) style of politics has entered Spain, analysts agreed in the program La Hora de la Uno of RTVE. And after all, the material already had more than one million views.
Something similar happened a month ago, when the ultra-right-wing Vox party decided to broadcast a parody of the well-known song Pedro Navaja, imitating the voice of Rubén Blades and focusing the lyrics on a shameless rant about Pedro Sánchez.
The Panamanian singer-songwriter wrote a protest on social networks and stressed that he would never lend one of his most popular songs to attack politicians of any country. Nor was there any apology from Vox, which simply withdrew the video clip. mh/jav/mem/ft
