The political leader assessed that the regional division project would not spare Lebanon and described what was happening in Syria as a heinous crime.
On X, Bassil stressed that the loss of Syria’s diversity is the loss of Lebanon’s plurality and called on the Damascus government to preserve the social fabric of the Levantine country.
The former minister stated that Syria’s unity is that of Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and all neighboring countries, “because we understand the consequences and aggression of division.”
Commenting on the internal scenario, the MP considered that the role in the Patriotic Movement is to unite people, particularly in times when division looms in the region.
