Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), President of the country, and chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), as well as other government leaders, attended the closing ceremony.

The plenary passed the resolution on the government’s report, the amendment to the Law on Representatives of the NPC and the local people’s congresses, and the resolutions on implementing the economic-social plans and the central and local budget for 2025.

They also gave green light to the resolution on the report of the NPC Standing Committee and the reports by the Supreme Court and the Supreme People’s Procuratorate.

Li Hongzhong, who chaired the closing session, pointed out that this year represents a crucial stage to achieve the goals of the 14th Five-Year Plan, aganist the backdrop of challenges psed by reform, development and stability.

The 3rd session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, which concentrates China’s democratic parties and acts as the country’s leading political advisory body, as well as the top legislature, the 14th NPC, were held simultaneously.
