During the traditional Friday sermon, the scholar emphasized that silence encourages the Israeli enemy to continue to remain on Lebanese soil.
In Fadlallah’s view, Lebanon is not weak and should not be treated from that position, lest Israel achieves its goals through diplomacy after failure on the battlefield.
The scholar insisted on the need to reject normalization and anything that leads to it and to maintain any negotiations, if they are carried out within their technical and security framework.
For the Lebanese ulema, the government’s priority should be to call for Israeli withdrawal from the national territory, the elimination of all repercussions stemming from the Zionist aggression and reconstruction.
Fadlallah called for “strengthening internal unity to face any pressure exerted on the State and not to involve the country in any proposal that could deprive it of its elements of strength.”
