Former Lebanese Prime Minister Rejects Continued Israeli Violations

Beirut, April 4 (Prensa Latina) Former Prime Minister Fouad Siniora today rejected the continued Israeli violation of Lebanon's sovereignty, condemning the airstrike against a residential building in Saida.

In his message of denunciation, the former head of government called on the international sponsors of the cessation of hostilities (the United States and France) to pressure Israel to immediately halt its aggression.

If UN Resolution 1701 is required, then Israel is the first to violate both the provision and the international agreement reached with its mediators, the Lebanese politician emphasized.

This Friday, three people were killed when an Israeli drone struck an apartment located on Dalaa Street, in the center of Saida, in the south of the country. The attack on Levantine territory killed Hassan Farahat (Abu Yasser), commander of the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian Hamas movement, along with his son, Hamza, and his daughter, Janan.
