Law enforcement captures five criminals in Mexico

Mexico City, April 4 (Prensa Latina) Mexican authorities reported today the arrest of five individuals in the northern state of Sinaloa, including Jesús Manuel “N,” the leader of a criminal cell and a driver of violence in the region.

According to a statement issued by the security cabinet, agents deployed an operation at a property in Culiacán, where they captured the individuals and seized two long weapons and an equal number of handguns, 200 rounds of ammunition, eight cell phones, and a vehicle.

According to reports, Jesús Manuel “N” has repeatedly carried out attacks with improvised explosive devices.

The men were informed of the reason for their arrest, were informed of their legal rights, and, along with the seized items, were handed over to the corresponding Public Ministry agent, who will determine their legal status.

Members of the Ministries of Defense, Navy, and Citizen Security and Protection, as well as the National Guard, the Attorney General’s Office, and the Sinaloa Public Security Secretariat participated in the operation.

According to official data, the Mexican government arrested 15,887 people for high-impact crimes and seized 134.7 tons of drugs between October 1 and March 23, demonstrating its commitment to the fight against organized crime.

The administration is implementing a national security strategy based on four lines of action: addressing the causes, consolidating the National Guard, strengthening intelligence and investigation, and coordinating with the states.
