According to Iran’s Tasnim news agency, Araqchi said that Iran and the United States will meet next Saturday in Oman, a nation of the Arabian Peninsula, where they will hold ‘high-level indirect’ talks.

Tasnim added that the Iranian Foreign Minister said that this contact is both an opportunity and a test and that the ball was in the US court.

Araqchi also confirmed to the agency that he and U.S. presidential envoy Steve Witkoff will lead the upcoming talks in Oman.

In this context, Tasnim reported that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian urged the U.S. administration to demonstrate genuine interest in negotiations. He emphasized that Tehran will not agree to talks under any circumstances that are perceived as humiliating.
